(from the series Les heures chaudes de Montparnasse)
Jean-Marie Drot, FR 1963, 52’, F/d
In the earliest known film with Giacometti, the artist talks with unusual candour about the creative process and the motivations that drove him. With the Les heures chaudes de Montparnasse film series conceived in 1962 about the fabled Parisian quarter, the television pioneer Jean-Marie Drot cemented his own fame as a documentary filmmaker as well as the mythical status of Montparnasse.
