In 1969, the Swiss exhibition maker Harald Szeemann drew his conclusions from Documenta 4 and propagated the dissolution of the conception of art with his radical exhibition “Live in Your Head – When Attitudes Become Form” at the Kunsthalle Bern. Regarded as a scandal at the time, the exhibition is today considered a milestone of the art world. It established Szeemann’s reputation and launched his meteoric career – in 1972 he curated the Documenta 5. Swiss television was present during the installation of the Bern exhibition, allowing for a unique glimpse into an art form that was not widely understood at the time.
